1. Introduction

NMX Security (“NMX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our websites, use our mobile apps, request quotes, purchase installation or monitoring services, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. For contractual commitments related to monitoring or equipment, your written agreement may include additional privacy or data terms.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Contact and identity: Name, email, phone, mailing address, and similar details when you fill out forms, request quotes, or correspond with us.
  • Property and project details: Home or business address, floor plans or photos you share, access instructions, and preferences for equipment or monitoring.
  • Account and billing: Login credentials, payment method details (processed by our payment processors), and purchase history.
  • Support communications: Messages, call recordings where permitted, and troubleshooting notes.

2.2 Information from your security and smart systems

Depending on your configuration, we may process event data generated by devices we install or service—for example alarm zones, sensor states, limited video clips or thumbnails associated with alerts, and smart-device actions needed to deliver monitoring, notifications, or remote support. This data is used to operate and improve the Services and, where you subscribe, to provide professional monitoring.

2.3 Automatically collected information

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, app version, device identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
  • Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, and interaction patterns on our sites and apps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: As described in Section 10.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, install, monitor, maintain, and bill for the Services
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and secure our systems
  • Communicate about appointments, outages, product updates, and safety notices
  • Respond to inquiries and improve customer support
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements
  • Analyze usage in aggregated or de-identified form to improve products and training

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. How we share information

4.1 Service providers

We share information with vendors who help us run our business—such as monitoring centers, cloud hosting, payment processors, shipping, analytics, email delivery, and customer-relationship tools. They may process data only on our instructions and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

4.2 Emergency services and partners

When you subscribe to monitoring, we may share necessary information with emergency dispatch, public safety answering points, and your designated contacts to respond to signals as permitted by law and your account settings.

4.3 Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of NMX, our customers, or the public.

4.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice where required by law.

5. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords, multi-factor authentication where available, and prompt reporting of suspected unauthorized access.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Monitoring and security event logs may be retained for periods required by law, industry standards, or your service plan.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To submit a request, contact us using the information in Section 12. We may verify your identity before responding.

8. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. U.S. state privacy notices

Residents of certain states (including California, Colorado, Virginia, and others) may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain sales or sharing. NMX does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. For rights requests, use the contact information below.

10. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure site performance, and understand how visitors use our digital properties. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some functionality.

11. Third-party links

Our Services may link to third-party sites or integrations (such as manufacturer apps). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; we encourage you to read them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on our website and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require additional notice as required by law.
